On Sunday 8th October 2023, Porthleven Mermaid day brings a Mermaid Grotto, and a magical Mermaid Swim to the village. You'll also find Wonders of the Waves crafts and stalls in The Shipyard Market, inspired by the day.

Don’t miss the mermazing Mermaid grotto in the The Shipyard Market.
It works a bit like a Santa’s grotto except every little two legger will get to spend a few minutes chatting to some real life mermaids! (as well as some very friendly fairies).
We’ll open at 9:30am and close the queue at 11:30am. It gets very busy later on - so be early to make sure you don’t miss out.
It’ll cost £5 for a visit or £10 with a small gift (whilst stocks last - gifts only suitable for ages 4+ due to small parts). We can take cash or card payments and donations will be made from the profits to Cornwall Mind and Porthleven Arts Community.
